[Review] Sterling Valentine's ListLaser 2.0

I am always on the look out for some great tools and resources to help people build their dream online business. An essential asset of an online business is an email list. To be able to build a list you need several complex moving parts….a squeeze page funnel system, an autoresponder, a hosting account, etc. All of these things can be very frightening if you are not a “techie” person. Well….I have found a great resource that enables you to start building a list with the click of a couple buttons. I don’t normally believe the HYPE behind push button solutions but this one is the real deal. You can actually create a fully monetized squeeze funnel with an autoresponder fully set up to collect email addresses at the push of a button. Not only that, the autoresposnder is loaded with follow up messages providing good content and promotional emails containing your affiliate links. The squeeze pages are nice looking and great to use in traffic exchanges (along...

[2 Minute Tip] Solo Ad Marketing

During the month of June I decided to kick up the notch on my advertising efforts to generate some solid subscriber optins. I had heard a lot about others using solo ads to drive quick traffic to their offer with some great conversion rates. Well…I guess you can see where this post is going.  I used some solo ads and had great results also. Here are the results I got with my first solo ad campaigns: Campaign #1 – Solo ad Purchased 250 clicks for $75.  I received 301 clicks resulting in 42 confirmed optins.  This represents a price of $0.34 per click. Campaign #2 – Solo Ad Purchased 50 clicks for $35.  I received 79 clicks resulting in 25 confirmed optins.  This represents a price of $0.44 per click. Campaign #3 – Solo Ad Purchased 100 clicks for $58.  I received 123 clicks resulting in 36 confirmed optins.  This represents a price of $0.48 per click. To summarize I spent $168 and received 503 clicks.  These clicks generated 103 new subscribers! Solo ads can be a...

[Plugin Review] Optin Skin

WordPress Plugins are a great way to improve and optimize your blog in a variety of ways.  They can improve your SEO (Search Engine Optimization), Automate the back of your blog and enhance the overall look and presentation of your blog. So, I thought I would let you in on the different plugins that I use here at TrevorMcHaffie.com.  I do use free and premium plugins on this site but I do think that these plugins enhance the overall experience here. OptinSkin is a premium plugin I use on the site.  Optinskin creates clean looking opt-in forms and social share boxes on your blog with simple steps. It helps draw attention to your opt-in forms with its 18 customizable templates and cool features like “Fade In” (which I use in my posts).  You can change almost every element of the template within the plugin settings.  You can also create your own custom designs using HTML and CSS. You can be creative and selective as to where your opt-in form is placed.  You can place it...

[Diamond 360] First Month Report

Well, its been a month already since I started my year long Diamond 360 Challenge. I have been working on many different things and learning how track and refine my traffic strategies. This last month was a growing phase for my journey as I created my very own product! I am using this new product as my giveaway on my new squeeze page.  This new product is displayed in the sidebar optin and also the popup that appears on my blog. I had a great opportunity to record an interview style conversation with my mentor Sterling Valentine.  We discussed listbuiding in depth and recorded it!  It was a lot of fun for me as this was my very first interview and product. I plan on doing many more of these interviews as I learned a lot and had a great time doing it.  I think this is a great medium to deliver information to my subscribers. And if you haven’t already…make sure you get your copy of the call I had with Sterling. Now, Sterling provided the Diamond team a unique system that...

[2 Minute Tip] Adswap Smarts

So I have decided to create a new feature here on my blog.  I am going to start giving quick little tips to my readers in my new “Trevor’s 2 Minute Tips” blog posts. I have been getting a lot of questions regarding adswaps and since I have been active with adswaps lately I thought I would start off by giving you some of the tips I use myself when looking for adswap partners and accepting adswap proposals. When looking for adswap partners you will want to look for partners close to the same list size as yours.  This will help when you are seeking out people to swap with.  The other person will be more inclined to accept your proposal rather than feel like you are trying to use their list with out offering much in return. Before requesting or accepting adswap proposals it is very important that you read the persons ad swipe that you are going to send out to your list.  You want to make sure that the style is something you would want to send to your...

[Diamond 360] My Kick OFF Interview

As I mentioned in one of my previous posts I am taking on a new challenge this year to take my Internet business to the next level. Things have been under way in the background and I am very excited to say that “Project Green” (like money 😉 ) is OFFICIALLY A GO! To start off I had to complete a baseline questionnaire where I discuss and talk about where I have been with my business, different strategies I have tried and some of the challenges that I feel that are going to be roadblocks for me this year. You can see my baseline questionnaire here:  Also on that page you can listen to an interview I had with Sterling Valentine. (I have sourced the interview so you can listen to it right here) [audio: 360 Baseline Interview|artists=Trevor McHaffie] I hope you enjoy the interview and please be sure to let me know what you think! To Your Success, Trevor

ListLaser.com 30 Day Challenge

I started to tell you in a previous post that I had some really cool excitement last year. As part of my Internet marketing adventure I took part in a 30 day list building challenge.  This contest was a little different than most others. It was not only how many subscribers you could add to your email list but also how creative you were throughout the contest in attracting these subscribers. The contest was organized by Sterling Valentine and he had attracted many Internet marketers to be the judges for the contest. Winners would win a trip to New York City to be part of the ListLaser Live event and also be part of a panel discussion. The contest was really cool because Sterling and many other marketers within his personal circle of influence were all part of “Daily Video Interviews”.  These interviews had all kinds of amazing tips to help build your list. The videos were located here: (Hopefully these videos are still available for you) So Where Is This Going?
