I started to tell you in a previous post that I had some really cool excitement last year.
As part of my Internet marketing adventure I took part in a 30 day list building challenge. This contest was a little different than most others.
It was not only how many subscribers you could add to your email list but also how creative you were throughout the contest in attracting these subscribers.
The contest was organized by Sterling Valentine and he had attracted many Internet marketers to be the judges for the contest.
Winners would win a trip to New York City to be part of the ListLaser Live event and also be part of a panel discussion.
The contest was really cool because Sterling and many other marketers within his personal circle of influence were all part of “Daily Video Interviews”. These interviews had all kinds of amazing tips to help build your list. The videos were located here: http://listlaser.com/challenge/daily-video-blog (Hopefully these videos are still available for you)
So Where Is This Going?
Well if you haven’t figured it out yet….I was one of the winners of the ListLaser.com Challenge!
Here is what some of the judges had to say about me…

1. Trevor McHaffie. It sounds like Trevor has come over from the article marketing world. I like that he has been trying new things like traffic exchanges and youtube videos. 27 new subscribers is impressive for someone new to list building. I feel like he has learned a lot thanks to List Laser though it probably would have been smart to leave out the bit about not watching many of the training videos.

My gosh this was REALLY REALLY REALLY hard, but here are my picks…
Trevor McHaffie – I know Trevor and he is an incredibly hard worker, and has been working his butt off to succeed online. You can see how much effort he put into this challenge with his detailed report, and that’s what I have picked him.

Here are my top three candidates. I chose these three candidates for this challenge as I felt they really came out of their shells and learned some very key lessons that will help them grow the way they want.
1. Trevor McHaffie ventured into a new area to learn about Traffic Exchanges and really focused his time and attention to master the strategies and then develop different tactics. The biggest lesson he learned was the importance of focused actions.

A lot of great contenders. For me, I think the top 3 are (not in any order):
– Trevor McHaffie – he took MASSIVE action and then paid attention to the results and continues to adjust his approach. Winners in Internet marketing follow the same pattern. It’s not about knowing. It’s about doing, then continuing to adjust your course until you get there. Great job!
I was then invited to New York City to participate in the panel discussion. This was my first Internet marketing event and I was part of it! The three winners participated and talked about their successes. (I am working on getting a copy of the video for you to see…As soon as I get it I will post it here)
I will close this post with this…This was a great opportunity for me to learn from many others that have succeeded in this business, I made some new friends while in New York and I will always focus on building my list.
P.S. Here is the recap report that I submitted to the judges explaining how I attracted my new subscribers. Click Here
