[Plugin Review] Optin Skin

WordPress Plugins are a great way to improve and optimize your blog in a variety of ways.  They can improve your SEO (Search Engine Optimization), Automate the back of your blog and enhance the overall look and presentation of your blog.

So, I thought I would let you in on the different plugins that I use here at TrevorMcHaffie.com.  I do use free and premium plugins on this site but I do think that these plugins enhance the overall experience here.

OptinSkin is a premium plugin I use on the site.  Optinskin creates clean looking opt-in forms and social share boxes on your blog with simple steps.

It helps draw attention to your opt-in forms with its 18 customizable templates and cool features like “Fade In” (which I use in my posts).  You can change almost every element of the template within the plugin settings.  You can also create your own custom designs using HTML and CSS.

You can be creative and selective as to where your opt-in form is placed.  You can place it almost anywhere on your blog.

OptinSkin can work for anyone trying to build their list.  It can be integrated with most major autoresponder providers like AWeber, Mail Chimp, GetResponse and more!

As marketers we are always testing and measuring our campaigns.  OptinSkin compiles statistics and can even split test different settings and templates throughout your campaigns.

This is a great plugin to help with building your list and creating conversions.

Check it out here.

  1. Hi Trevor
Thanks for sharing this plugin with your readers, I have not heard about this one so I will check it out. There are so many WP plugins that it’s good that bloggers like yourself share and help people find new ones that are recommended.
    Have a great day

    • Hi Pauline,

Thanks for visiting. I think sharing of information makes us all better. When it comes to WP plugins there are so many that you can get caught up in looking for the one you want and waste so much time when you should be focusing on other things.

      Stay in touch,

  2. I tried OptinSkin and the forms looked adorable! But the more forms I put on, the slower my site got. Have you checked your load speed before and after?

I loved it but had to take it off and go back to less spiffy Aweber forms.

    • Hi Miriam,

Thanks for visiting. That’s interesting about the site speed. I will have to look into that. I know that there are plugins that help with site speed. I will look into some and post back. Maybe that can get you using OptinSkin again…

  3. I had the same problem. My site is so slow that I’m about to take the darn thing off. Looks great but my site has slowed to the pace of a snail.
